How It Works
Lesson Times:
Saturday
11:00 AM- 11:30 AM

In Person/ Online
We'll meet once per week for one hour in person or over Zoom, your choice.
Meetings will be recorded so you can watch them later.
Online Only
We'll meet online so you can join the class from anywhere!
Meetings will be recorded for future use.
Equipment
Students will need drum sticks, a "practice pad," and a stand (optional) to put the practice pad on. Recommendations (and links!) will be provided.Classes will eventually use a book, and the direction of study (and accompanying book) will be determined by the interest and goals of the students & parents.Until then, exercise pdfs will be provided throughout classes. (Sticks - $15) (Pad - $20 - $60) (Stand - $30) (Total: $30 - $100)
Curriculum
Rhythms, Rudiments, Time Signatures! These will mostly be foundational classes (although there will be intermediate classes as well).We will focus heavily on rhythms; reading, counting, understanding and playing them.We will cover proper technique, learn the essential rudiments, and learn different time signatures. Students can study rhythms/rudiments indefinitely or transition to more drumset focused classes.

Meet The Instructor
Trent Yurkovitch is an enthusiastic drum instructor who has taught hundreds of musicians, is a freelance recording artist, and manages a combination of private and group lessons out of his studio in South Tampa! He has studied under some of the best drummers of all time, and has taught private lessons and classes over Zoom to students all over the United States!
